I love using sazón GOYA® to amplify the flavors and add brightness to my food. Sazón GOYA® is so versatile and can be used in many of your favorite dishes! Save this recipe for your next weeknight dinner! ⬇️ Ingredients: - 3 chicken breast - 1 sazón GOYA® packet - Paprika - Chili powder - Black pepper - Mexican oregano Soup: - 1 yellow onion diced - 1-2 jalapeños diced (seeds out) - 4 garlic cloves minced - 1 sazón GOYA® packet - Chili powder - Paprika - Black pepper - Mexican oregano - 4 cups chicken broth - 4 cups water - 1 cubito en polvo de caldo de pollo - 3 chile guajillo - 2 bay leaves - Corn tortillas & oil for frying - 1 large can of crushed roasted tomatoes - 1 can of black beans drained and rinsed - 2 cups frozen corn - Chopped cilantro - Toppings of choice Directions: - Season chicken breast on both sides with seasonings listed above - Add oil to a large pot and allow to heat up. Once oil is hot, add chicken in and brown on both sides. Remove chicken and set aside once browned - To the same pot add onion, jalapeño and garlic along with the same seasonings you seasoned chicken with. Allow onion to become translucent - Add broth, water and caldo de pollo packet. Mix and add chicken back into the pot along with chiles guajillo and bay leaves. cover and cook for 45 minutes on medium low heat - Fry tortilla strips in the meantime - Remove chiles and add to a blender along with 1/2 cup of broth and blend until smooth - Remove chicken and shred - Add chile sauce into the broth along with crushed tomatoes, black beans, corn and shredded chicken.
